Irish Americana folk musician Jim Sharkey grew up in County Roscommon, Ireland, and moved to the US in 1982 after joining the US Navy. He spent five years as a photographer on the USS Dixon and two decades in TV and video production in California, North Carolina, and Maine. Jim’s music blends Celtic ballad influences with contemporary themes, often inspired by his surroundings. He has released four albums, with the latest, “Our Old Village,” in February 2024.
