A new project is underway to construct a high-end condominium building in Portland’s West End. The condos will be located at 64 Pine St, formerly the site of the café, Aurora Provisions.
Aurora Condos will feature nine units, each roughly 1,900 square feet with three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms. The design includes high ceilings, triple-pane windows, a dining area, and a fireplace, all within an open living concept. Prices for the units are projected to start in the mid-$2 million range. The building’s rooftop will feature a pergola with space heaters, a fire pit and lounge area, as well as a kitchen and dining area for up to eight people.
The developer, Tom Landry, said the goal for this project is to be ambitious and build a modern structure that is both beautiful and high end.

Other building amenities include a sauna, Scandinavian gym equipment, garage parking for two vehicles per unit, bike storage, as well as e-bike charging.
The project has been approved by the Portland Planning Board, and city permits will soon be This will require the current building to be torn down, so construction of the new four story building can begin. Construction is estimated to start late this year, or early 2025, and take 18 months to complete. They also hope to attract a cafe to the ground floor unit.
