Anything from recent closings, openings, and headliners:
- Two Fat Cats Bakery has officially opened their new space in the West End. Hosting their Grand opening this past weekend, Two Fat Cats new cafe is located at 144 State Street inside the old Mercy Hospital building. A counter-service cafe and market that include all their pastries (and whole pies) in addition to sandwiches and soups and a small market of staples and sundries, Two Fat Cats offers items to-go as well as available for dine-in. Regular hours will be Tuesday-Saturday 7:30 pm – 4 pm, and Sunday 9 am – 2 pm.
- Currently “pre-heating”, Not A Bakery Portland is rolling into Portland this coming spring. Brought to Portland by longtime baker Georgia Macon and her lovely team, Not A Bakery Portland will be a mobile bakery. Georgia Macon became the Pastry Chef at Twelve after relocating to Portland Maine after culinary stints in New Zealand, Martha’s Vineyard and notably the Tartine Bakery in San Francisco. - As mentioned last week, Sissle & Daughters, has opened in Woodfords Corner at 634 Forrest Avenue. An all day cafe, wine bar and grocery/market brought to Portland from the team behind The Cheese Shop of Portland (now Sissle & Daughters Cheese), Sissle & Daughterrs offers coffee and baked goods 8am – 2:30pm; wine bar service from 3pm – 8pm every day. - Orange Bike Brewery is celebrating their first anniversary! Live music all week and a special OBB One Year Anniversary Party on November 16th and 17th with with live bands, 12 + beers on tap, new beer releases (including the Non -Alcoholic & Belgian triple), special guests and more.

- The Porthole is hosting a Crafts & Drafts on Thursday, November 14th. Create a stunning centerpiece made just for the autumn season. Their new seasonal selection of local craft beer favorites will also be available for additional purchase. Register.

- ICYMI, you can still enjoy Fall Birdie Specials at Ocotillo. Monday: kick off the week with 2 for 1 breakfast tacos 8am – 9am; Wednesday: 1/2 price sweet treat with a cup of coffee; Monday, Thursday, Friday: $14 BBQ Sando of the Week with a 160z Modelo or house-made soda. - Enjoy mini pies at Wilson County Barbecue!
- Enjoy Luna Rooftop Bar’s fall cocktail menu! Includes twists on seasonal favorites, like the Fall Old Fashioned. Enjoy That’s Tea (as shown) or the Fresh Prince that has a colorful green kick.
- Jordan Rubin, chef/owner of Mr. Tuna and Bar Futo, will share strategies from his experience for offering local tuna nearly year-round on Monday, November 18th at Bar Futo. In partnership withe the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, he will cover topics including purchasing, handling, storing, and aging Maine bluefin tuna. 1 hour session is geared towards restaurants/buyers.
- ViA VECCHiA’s 5th annual Feast of the Seven Fishes is set for Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24th. This 4 course tasting menu for $95 with optional additional wine pairing will feature local seafood and celebrate the Italian-American tradition of a grand feast on Christmas Eve.

- Happy hour is back at Highroller Lobster Co. Monday – Friday from 3pm – 6pm enjoy deals on food and drink. View menu.
- Steak, Frites, and Martini Mondays $for 25 runs every week at Henry’s Public House. In addition, enjoy a Ceaser salad, frites and martini for $20.
- Now until Thanksgiving all drip coffee and cold brew is half off until 10am on weekdays at Another Round Maine.
- Igloos are making their return! Alto Terrace Bar + Kitchen has announced the return of igloo dining coming soon. Thames Landing has also announced that igloo dining is on its way.
- For one night only, James Beard Award-winning chef, David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter will be teaming up with Chef Neil Zabriskie, of REGARDS for a pop-up happening Tuesday, November 19th. Reservations can be made online via OpenTable.
