It’s the 2019 Pride Parade weekend in Portland, Maine so check out all of the pride events Portland has to offer! Plus, there are all sorts of concerts and shows this weekend so get ready and enjoy!
Friday
Looking for a great view, good food, and amazing music? Check out Ragged Jack on Portland’s Largest Waterfront Deck at Porthole Restaurant and Pub from 7-11pm!
Start Making Sense: Talking Heads Tribute band is playing at the Port City Music Hall at 9pm. Tickets range from $18-$35 and this event is 18+. Doors open at 8pm and you will not be asking yourself “well, how did I get here?”
If you’re looking for a party visit the Rainbow Ball 2019 from 9pm-1am at Brian Boru! There will be two live shows and DJ’s all night! There is no cover charge, but this event is 21+ so bring your ID and get ready to party!
Saturday
Come on down for Pride Portland! Parade and Festival 2019. Line up starts at 11:30am for walking groups, vehicles, and floats at Monument Square. The marching begins at 1pm and the festival goes from 2pm-6pm. The celebration includes entertainment, family activities, food trucks, and a marketplace with local LGBTQ+ friendly businesses! Free admission and lots of fun!
From 10am-6pm the Portland Museum of Art will have free admission in honor of Pride Portland! They will also be hosting a free screen printing poster activity with Hope Rovelto on Congress Square.
If you don’t want the pride party to end check out the EQME Pride Portland! After Party from 7pm-1am. This event is 18+ and will be held at the Port City Music Hall. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event. Grab your tickets quick because last year this even sold out!
Sunday
If you’re looking for something fun for the family check out The Music of the Grateful Dead for Kids hosted by the Port City Music Hall and The Rock and Roll Playhouse band. Doors open at 11am and the show begins at 11:30am. There is a general admission fee of $15 and the show is free for children under 1.
Reggae Sunday is back again on Peaks Island from 11:30am-5pm! Grab a beer or rum bucket and relax!
Checkout CatHaus at the Portland Lobster Company from 5:30-8-30pm! This is their debut so come out and support, get yourself some lobster, and relax!
