
This is a music heavy weekend in Portland, Maine. With performances by Billy Bob Thornton, Third Eye Blind, Ashley McBryde, and more there is no shortage of amazing events!
Friday
Check out July’s First Friday Art Walk for amazing shows and programming at all of Portland’s art galleries, studios, museums, and alternative art venues. This is a self-guided tour from 5-8pm on the first Friday of every month.
Grab a drink, sit back, and listen to Slygo Road on Portland’s largest waterfront deck! Slygo Road is a Portland based rock, blues, and soul band that will be performing at the Porthole Restaurant & Pub from 7-11pm.
Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters will be performing at Aura at 9pm. Doors open at 8pm so get ready! This is an 18+ event so have you ID on hand.
Saturday
Snag some tickets to Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World in their Summer Gods Tour at Thompson’s Point. There will also be a special guest appearance of Ra Ra Riot! Doors open at 5pm and the show starts at 6, tickets are $45 in advance and $50 day of. This is an all ages event!
Check out Bearly Dead at Empire Live Music & Events at 9pm. Bearly Dead plays classic Grateful Dead covers as well as other songs that the members of the Dead performed. Tickets are just $12 in advance and $15 day of. This is a 21+ event so bring your ID!
Aura is hosting Ashley McBryde on The Girl Going Nowhere Tour, with Carolyn Miller opening. Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9. This is an 18+ event so bring your ID!
Sunday
Need a new brunch spot? Stop by Allagash Brewing Company for Yoga in the Brewhouse at 9:30am. This event is cohosted by lululemon Portland and there will be a light brunch after the class provided by Rose Foods.
Check out Brewers’ Brunch at Top of the East. This is a five course brunch paired with beer from Mast Landing Brewing Company and is a 21+ event. Tickets are limited so grab them quick!
Reggae Sunday is rolling around again on Peaks Island. From 11:30am-5pm grab a beer or rum bucket and start jammin’.
