Portland, Maine has some amazing events this weekend! Check out A Diva Holiday, the Parade of Lights on Casco Bay, the Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl, and much much more!
Friday
The Portland Symphony Orchestra will be putting on the Magic of Christmas Concert Series all weekend long at the Merrill Auditorium. This is a kid friendly event so check out the showtimes and grab your tickets!
A Diva Holiday will be at the Porthole Restaurant & Pub for a night of song, dance, and comedy. This event will be from 6:30-9:30pm and features Cherry Lemonade, Lady Ginger, Ophelia Johnson, and Chartreuse.
Since it’s Friday the 13th Blackstones will be screening The Nightmare Before Christmas, holding a costume contest (both movie costumes and ugly sweaters), and hosting a dance party! This event is from 9pm-12am and is a 21+ event!
Saturday
The Porthole will be hosting their fifth annual ‘Sip and Shop’ Craft Fair from 1-4pm. Grab a delicious happy hour beverage and get your holiday shopping done!
Get classy with Oxbow Brewing and Duckfat at their Classy Christmas event from 2-7pm. There will be music, cocktail specials, and Duckfat will be spit roasting a duck. Cocktail attire encouraged.
Check out the Parade of Lights from 4-6pm on the Casco Bay Cat! Watch the ships float by or grab a ticket to get on one!
Portland House of Music and Events will be hosting Home for the Holidaze, a show featuring Portland talent. Doors open at 7 and the show starts at 8. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of. This is a 21+ event.
If you’re really feeling the festivities, hop over to the third annual Ugly Sweater Bar Crawl! The tickets include an Ugly Sweater Crawl t-shirt to be handed out after the crawl, an Ugly Sweater Crawl koozie at registration, access to the registration party, and access to the after party! Plus, there will be tons of people in awesome holiday gear and amazing drink specials at the participating bars. Just don’t forget your ID.
Sunday
Head to Boone’s Fish House and Oyster Room for Sunday Brunch with Live Music. Brunch will be from 10am-3pm and live music by Monique Barrett from 11am-1pm.
See The Velveteen Rabbit; a Main Stage Production at the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine from 1-2pm. Tickets are $10.
Listen to the Heather Pierson Jazz Trio perform Charlie Brown Christmas from 7-10pm at One Longfellow Square. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of. This is an all ages event.
