Friday
Austin Street Brewery and Slab Sicilian Street Food are hosting an International Women’s Day Beer Release the whole weekend. The previous three Women’s Day beers created by Austin Street’s female staff will be available as well. For every Austin Street beer sold $1 will be donated to Preble Street and women experiencing homelessness in Portland.
Dance at the Mardi Gras Party with Deejay Onax at The Whiskey Barrel! Happy Hour starts at 4 pm and the music begins at 9:30 pm. There will be drink specials and food available. Best of all there’s no cover!

Get your ticket to the Junior League of Portland, Maine’s Annual Gala at Cellardoor Winery on Thompson’s Point! The Junior League of Portland, ME is an organization of women who promote volunteerism and the improvement of the community. From 6-9 pm dance, enjoy hors d’oeuvres, and support!
Laugh with Artie Lange at State Theatre. Tickets are $40-$65. Doors open at 6 pm and the laughs start at 7 pm. This is an all-ages event!

Jam out at GIRLS ROCK: The Kids Are Alright Children’s Concert at the Portland Public Library. This is a family-friendly concert series that promotes children’s interest in the musical arts. The concert is from 10:30-11:30 am and is free!
There’s a Wild West Themed Murder/Mystery Dinner at Milk & Honey of Swallowtail Farm hosted by Mystery 207. Costumes encouraged but not mandatory! Three-course meal included with ticket. Meal options available. See their Facebook page for more information.
The 20th Annual USM Royal Majesty Drag Show hosted by Deafies in Drag will be held from 7:30-10:30 pm at the Holiday Inn Portland-by the Bay. Student tickets are $7 in advance and $10 at the door. Community member tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. The show will be ASL interpreted!
Attend Unwritten: 60 Years in the Making: A Birthday Fundraiser at the Portland House of Music and Events. This event is hosted by Mary Allen Lindemann and features Gina and the Red Eye Flight Crew. Proceeds benefit The Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 day of. Doors open at 8 pm.
FLASK LOUNGE hosts Delirious: A Funky Dance Party from 8 pm-1 am. Get down to Funk, Disco, and Old School Hip Hop with DJs Foxy, Dirty Keys, and DoomsdayJ. This is a 21+ event. There’s a suggested cover of $5 and a portion of the proceeds will go to the historic Abyssinian Meeting House.
Sunday
It’s 90’s Night at Cross Insurance Arena! Watch the Maine Mariners take on the Worcester Railers at 3 pm. Stay after the game for an autograph session with the team. Tickets range from $17-$24.
Join the Pink Boots Society for March’s Women in Beer meetup for National Women’s Day at Rí Rá from 5-9 pm. Celebrate and support women in beer. All are welcome!
Watch the Bar Madness Quarterfinals Competition at Old Port Sea Grill & raw bar from 7-8:30 pm! Eight finalists compete in a battle of the bartenders and four will move on to the Semifinals. Snacks and menu will be available until 8 pm and a full bar will also be available.
The Women’s Adventure Film Tour 19/20 will be in Portland at Port City Music Hall from 7-9 pm. This short film festival celebrates inspiring women and their thirst for adventure. The tour benefits Naretoi, a non-profit that supports girl’s education, women’s empowerment, local economic efforts, and cultural exchange in Maasailand, Kenya. Learn more on their Facebook page.
Catch the Women’s 2nd Sunday Showcase at Blue from 7-9 pm! Each show features a different lineup of the Northeast’s established and new singers, songwriters, and composers.
Head to One Longfellow Square and listen to Chris Purika and Brooke Annibale. Tickets are $17 in advance and $22 day of. The doors open at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. This is an all-ages event.
