About Toby McAllister:
Toby has been playing music since he got his first guitar when he was 13 years old. He immediately realized this was his passion, and hasn’t stopped playing/performing since. Out of high school, Toby formed Sparks The Rescue, which went on to tour the world. Spending most of his young adult life in a 15 passenger van with his friends, Toby got an unconventional education and a new appreciation for traveling. Sparks signed to Fearless Records out of Huntington Beach, CA and put out multiple studio releases which can be found on all streaming platforms. Notably, Sparks did the Van’s Warped Tour in 2010, toured Europe/UK with The All American Rejects, and have had their music on MTV. The band has over 6 million streams on Spotify.
After the touring slowed, and the band members started settling down, Toby found his place back in his home state of Maine. Determined, he continued playing music as a full time job.
Toby plays primarily in Maine but also books shows throughout New England. He is a part of multiple duos, the Swinging Doors Trio, and wedding/event band “The Jameson Four.” In the summer you can catch him in the Old Port or Old Orchard Beach on any given day. Year round he plays in the local clubs and bars around the state, including the ski resorts in the winter. He and his band also play/MC/DJ weddings and private functions throughout the year.
2020 found Toby transitioning into the virtual aspect of musicianship due to the pandemic. He did around 50 livestreams throughout the year. His Summer 2021 calendar is quite full, and he is excited to resume in person gigs. Toby currently lives in Mechanic Falls, Maine with his wife, daughter, and his sweet puppy.
