Back Cove Music & Arts Festival Officially Announced for August 2025
It’s official! Portland’s first-ever Back Cove Music & Arts Festival is set to take over Edward Payson Park on August 2nd and 3rd, 2025. After months of planning and anticipation, the festival is moving forward, promising two days of live music, art, and community in one of the city’s most scenic outdoor spaces.
We first covered the festival proposal back in November of 2024, when GoodWorks Entertainment and Shore Sounds Entertainment pitched the idea to city officials. Now, with the dates locked in, the buzz is building. While the lineup is still under wraps, the original proposal hinted at a mix of Americana, Rock, Indie, Folk, Country, Blues, and Reggae, with artists similar to The Lumineers, Caamp, Brandi Carlile, and Vampire Weekend among the potential acts.
Beyond the music, the festival is designed to be family-friendly, offering a blend of arts, local food vendors, and interactive experiences. With an expected crowd of 10,000-12,000 attendees per day, organizers are planning shuttle services, bike parking, and other transit options to ease congestion at Payson Park. Organizers are also working with the city to ensure continued access to the park’s community gardens, senior center, and sports fields during the event.
As for ticket prices, those details haven’t been officially released yet. However, based on the initial proposal, organizers anticipated a tiered pricing structure ranging from general admission to VIP packages (expected to range from $75 to $550 based on proposal). Final pricing and ticket sale dates will be announced in the coming months.
Stay tuned for lineup announcements and ticket details soon!
