Portland’s food scene is about to get even more exciting with the arrival of Barry Larry’s new food truck. This long-time chef, with a contagious energy, wealth of experience and a passion for fusion flavors, is set to captivate taste buds throughout the city.
Barry Larry’s culinary journey began as a busboy at 14 and eventually led him to become a skilled hibachi chef at Fuji now N to Tail. During his college years, he impressed fellow students with his mouthwatering dishes, selling food in the dorms and creating a buzz on St. Joe’s campus.
Barry Larry’s talent gained recognition through successful catering events and Pop-ups, where people raved about his exceptional cuisine. His legendary fried rice became a fan favorite, prompting him to partner with his former hibachi roots N to Tail, to expand his reach.
Driven by a desire to be his own boss and follow his passion, Barry Larry decided to venture into the food truck industry. Inspired by an enthusiastic response during a festival, he knew it was the perfect opportunity to showcase his Asian fusion creations and bring his culinary expertise to a broader audience.
Barry Larry, aka the “Fried Rice King,” specializes in Asian fusion cuisine. He has curated a menu featuring Cambodian beef skewers, Korean corn dogs, lobster fried rice, and more.
