Silent Book Club is a global community of readers and introverts, with more than 500 chapters in 50 countries around the world led by local volunteers. SBC members gather in public at bars, cafes, bookstores, libraries, and online to read together in quiet camaraderie.
At Silent Book Club, there’s no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books… it’s BYOBook. Friends and strangers gather at a set time and location, order drinks, and settle in for an hour of silent, sustained reading. At the end of the hour, attendees can socialize— or not!
An MF DOOM Instrumental Tribute” is a special, one time event here at Novel! The set will include a variety of MF DOOM instrumental tracks, arrangements, and jazz standards which were sampled by the beloved rapper and producer. All of it will be played by a live band made up of musicians from all over the southern Maine area.
