Après Drinks Silent Auction Fundraiser with Foundations 4 Love & New England Cancer Specialists
Join Après, along with Foundations 4 Love and New England Cancer Specialists, on 11/3 from 5 – 7:30PM as they host a silent auction and cocktail party to help raise funds and awareness for holistic cancer treatment for adult patients in Maine and New Hampshire. There is a great collection of donations from local businesses that will be auctioned off, participation is free, all ages are welcome, and bidding is open to the public. Meet On The Street will be there as well if you’re in need of a nosh.
This is the end of a month-long fundraising campaign with $1/pint sold of Après’ F4LOVE raspberry + black tea seltzer allocated to benefit Foundation 4 Love. Details here!
November 5th
Just Love Gala
Join the Just Love organization on November 5 for a fun evening featuring the band, Wavelength, for a night of laughs and dancing to kick off the holidays and celebrate Just Love who has been making a lasting impact! Black Tie optional. Purchase tickets here.
Sex-trafficking is the fastest growing business in the world and is very present in Maine. Just Love assists in supporting survivors by connecting them with resources and mentoring, works with law enforcement on joint missions, facilitates programming to schools, law enforcement and other community organizations, and advocates for stronger laws protecting victims and prosecuting traffickers. They need your help fighting for these vulnerable people.
November 5th
Allspeed Ski Swap
The Ski Swap is 11/5, starting at 10AM, get there early for the best selection! If you want to sell your used gear, make sure to drop it at Allspeed no later than 6PM on 11/4. Only gear that is 5 years old or newer will be accepted.
Allspeed is also operating as a collection center for Maine Needs’ Winter Gear Drive. You can drop off needed items on the list when you drop off gear to sell or during the ski swap on Saturday.

November 9th
Laundry Love
Trinity Church is excited to share a little Laundry Love with the community. Free washing, drying, and detergents are waiting for you at Wash Tub 2 on Forest Ave. right behind the Burger King. All are welcome, details here.
November 10th
11th Annual WinterKids License to Chill
Join Coast 93.1’s Blake & Kelly on 11/10 at Portland House of Music as they host this great event that is all about raising funds to help get 45,000+ kids across Maine outside and more active this winter! There will be Allagash Brewing Co. drink specials, live music, and a live auction.

November 11th
Veteran’s Day Skate
Head to Happy Wheels on Veteran’s Day for free admission between 1-4PM if you are a Veteran, past or present, just show your military ID. $10 admission for all others, rentals are not included.
November 12th
Fill The Bus- MSAD 6 Backpack Food Drive
On 11/12, make donations at the Plummer’s Shop n’ Save in Buxton to help the Backpack Program fill the bus. The mission is to meet the needs of chronically hungry students in the district by providing them with nutritious and easy to prepare food to take home on the weekends and school vacations. They’ll be accepting non-perishable individual sized items that a student can heat up and feed themselves. Details here!
November 15th
Flatbread Pizza Community Night Fundraiser for Side x Side!
Join Side x Side at Flatbread Company in Portland on 11/15 from 5-9PM! A portion of each pizza sold (including takeout orders) during this time will be donated to Side x Side, which “ignites academic excellence in education through comprehensive arts-based programs, bringing critical thinking, creativity, and innovation into the classroom” right here in Portland.
November 16th
Mission Working Dogs at Elsmere BBQ – South Portland!
Support Mission Working Dogs by dining in or taking out at the South Portland Elsmere BBQ on 11/16 from 4PM – 9PM and 8% of your food sales will be donated to the organization! They are also having a contest, the first 30 people to attend will be entered to win a MWD swag basket.
November 17th
We Need to Talk: A Community Conversation about Mental Health
Head to the Falmouth Memorial Library at 5:30PM on 11/17 as they proudly present an evening of conversation with local author Cameron Rosenblum (“The Stepping Off Place” 2020), FHS students, and the Yellow Tulip Project. The evening will be moderated by local mental health expert, Susan E. Casey, MSW. They invite all to help them smash the stigma around mental health through open and honest discussion. November 11th – 26th
Stuff-A-Truck Toy Drive
Big Moose Harley Davidson is hosting a Toys For Tots drive and they want to stuff their box truck full! Make your donations between 11/11 – 11/26. You’ll receive $10 in Big Moose Bucks and on 11/9 from 11AM – 5PM they’ll also be cooking out with free hot cocoa & donuts from 9AM – gone and free burgers & hot dogs from 11:30AM – gone.
