Coffee & Climate: Sustainability in the Arts
Join us Friday, June 16th from 10:30am – 11:30am at the Portland Museum of Art for June’s
Coffee & Climate event, Sustainability in the Arts. Mike Brown and Graeme Kennedy from the
Portland Museum of Art will shed light on how galleries like the PMA work towards sustainable
practices and how artists are able to portray climate change in their work. Don’t miss the Tidal
Shift Award Finalists – a prize for young artists who want to solve our climate crisis – on display
on the ground level!

Coffee & Climate is a monthly speaker series – hosted by Portland and South Portland
Sustainability Offices- which breaks down a given sustainability or climate topic with the help of
guest speakers. Our 2023 programming includes a range of topics including sustainability in the
arts, aquaculture, plastics, environmental justice and more!
