As the moon goes dark, we have the opportunity to set a potent intention for the coming cycle. It is a seeding time, and more powerful than one might imagine. Women have been gathering to honor the cycles of the moon for many years, and now we have the ability to tap back into that wild knowledge.
Be seen, heard and felt for who you are, not what you produce. Your body is yours alone, your heart and desires, not only valid but necessary. We need each other. Join other like-minded women as we create a sacred container together. If you needed a sign, this is it. This is the call. All who identify as women are welcome.
Every circle includes:
- Community and time to share
- Visualization
- Creative ritual
- Intention setting
- Chocolate
(Note this workshop does not include a movement practice)

***To make this as accessible as possible, we’re offering a sliding payment scale of $10, $15 or $20 to attend. Please inquire if the fee is a barrier or if you would like to sponsor a spot by emailing jess@portlandyogacollective.com.
20% of circle revenue is donated to Through These Doors, an organization committed to ending domestic violence in Cumberland County. You can learn more about their work here: https://www.throughthesedoors.org/about-us/mission-vision-values/
Danielle Gismondi
Combine the feelings you get when you hear your favorite song, when you pet a puppy, and when you wake up from a really good nap, and you are somewhere close to what Danielle is going for when she teaches yoga. Danielle has been teaching yoga since 2006 and is a student of research and experience. With the belief that there is no “right way” and only “your way,” her classes are meant to be functional for all types of practitioners as they are layered and multi-tiered. She brings in elements of the yoga sutras, functional anatomy and social justice to deepen each student’s experience. She hopes to create an atmosphere where ambition is replaced by curiosity and her teaching style has been described as “intuitively-paced, respectful of all bodies, playful, judgment-free, and exuberant.”
Danielle has been an educator in both public and private schools and is also a Women’s Circle Leader for The WILD Woman Project as well as a facilitator for WILD WOMAN FEST. As an early childhood educator for many years, she loves to combine her yoga experience with her expertise in childhood development for classes and workshops for families and children. She was inspired to strengthen her hands-on assists and completed Thai Yoga Massage training with Jennifer Yarro, who is also her yoga teacher and mentor. Also, if you make it to class, ask for the very ancient pose called hug-asana. You won’t regret it.
