For years, 11 Brown Street was home to a very popular location of Tio Juan’s Margaritas chain. Since its abrupt and surprising closure in 2015, the space left behind hasn’t seen the same level of traffic. A popular New Hampshire restaurant, BRGR Bar, tried their hand at the Portland restaurant scene, with results not working out as planned. Now, a popular Windham restaurant will give it a shot, as Tokyo Sushi Ramen & Bar has officially opening in Portland’s Old Port.

Tokyo Sushi Ramen & Bar has an expansive menu that should have a little of something for everyone. They feature a slew of different sushi options, as well as signature Ramen bowls and other noodle options like Pad Thai. Another twist to the menu is the Hibachi option. Before you start planning out that birthday party or bachelorette gathering, Tokyo Sushi offers Hibachi-style cooking, but not the show that comes with it. You’ll still get the great tasting food associated with a Hibachi, just no onion volcano to marvel at.
Portland Old Port
The owners of Tokyo Sushi also operate Eagle Sushi and Steakhouse in Windham. There are several similar items on both menus, including well-liked bento box options. Just like Eagle Sushi and Steakhouse, Tokyo Sushi Ramen & Bar has a variety of lunch options that are priced right and available through their online ordering portal.
