This past weekend, residents of a Munjoy Hill townhouse awoke to the devastating news of a fire within their complex, leaving the building at a total loss and condemned, and residents losing everything.
While the investigation into the fire continues, local family, friends, and coworkers are coming together and fundraising on behalf of the Munjoy Hill residents as they face the challenging road ahead.
Currently, there are a few different GoFundMe campaigns one for each unit and the respective tenants impacted. In an effort to help, we have linked the different fundraisers below, where you can read more about the tenants, including their connection to the community, and if able can make a donation.
- “Munjoy Hill Fire: Help Henry and his Roommates”: Help raise funds for local Po’Boys and Pickles and Mast Landing crewmembers. To donate head here.
- “Help the Munjoy Hill Fire Victims”: Help raise funds for three Millinocket hometown friends. To donate head here.
- Help Sanches-Cron Family Rebuild Home After Fire: Help raise funds for the Sanches- Cron family, who started Food Brigade, which has been bringing food and hope to hundreds of families across Southern Maine since the start of the pandemic. To donate head here.
