We attended an incredible wedding the food was delicious. The prime rib with risotto and the lobster roll appetizer were amazing. The views were unbelievable

We had our wedding here 1 year ago today and came back to visit. I can’t stress enough what a perfect place to have a wedding this venue is and one of the biggest reasons is Jayson who runs the place. He thinks of EVERYTHING! Super organized and kept everything running smoothly. Even a year later in seeing him he remembered everything about us and our special day. If you are getting married in Portland and want a special experience, call him asap to see the Inn!

FALL IS AMAZING HERE - Such an awesome experience for a great price. We were looking for hotels in Portland where good rooms are very expensive, when we realized it would cost far less to stay on the island in a huge suite with a view, and get a scenic boat ride out of it as well. It worked out amazingly well. We checked in then caught the fairy back to Portland to complete our business, returned for dinner in a small restaurant down the street, and on the way back stopped in the grocery store to purchase wine and snacks for the room. We had time for an evening stroll around the island to watch the sunset, before retiring to our spacious suite. It was so much more than we expected. Our room looked on to the docks and sea. Our boat ride from Portland and back was one of the most scenic rides we’ve ever taken.

I stayed here the night of my wedding. It was a lovely room with a balcony that overlooked the bay. They even were so kind and made it possible to get an early check in so I could get my hair and makeup done there.

This is my third time staying at the Inn on Peaks, and another consistently lovely stay. Huge room with a living room area and separate king size bedroom. They accommodated a super late check-in, and even though we are barely into peak season, the staff were readily accessible. The restaurant is open part-time for the beginning of the season, and the food was fresh and delicious. For those wondering about travel to and from Portland, the ferry is very convenient, a short ride, and close enough to see from the Inn itself. Can't wait to be back!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt like I had to! This Inn is truly something special. The people who work here are so sweet and accommodating. I get easily grossed out by hotels, but when I stepped into our room it just FELT clean. Upon further inspection, it proved to be very clean!! The beds are very comfortable and the sheets/comforter are as soft as the ones you have at home. While you do have to ride the ferry back and forth between the island and peaks island, we honestly didn’t mind that at all. The island provides such a unique and relaxing aspect to your Maine trip. Also, the restaurant at the Inn is to die for. It was one of our favorite meals we ate our whole trip!!In summary, just stay here! The staff, the inn, and the island are something really special.

My wife and I stayed here recently in April. For anyone staying in Portland, ME and planning to visit Peak’s Island, I would recommend just staying here ON the island. Room was really spacious and had a great view of the city line across the bay. It was also really convenient (and fascinating to my wife) to be able to watch the ferry landing from our room.We were a late arrival, but the staff made check-in super easy for us. No noise, clean room, and a convenient location. All good qualities in lodging!Peaks Island is only accessible by ferry, so if you’re staying here, you really need to stick to a schedule for your arrival or departure.

We stayed early April, still "off-season" in the Bailey suit.Quaint inn, our room was super clean. Electric fireplace added charm, modern furnishings. Single Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was relaxing.Room includes a coffee maker, small TV, hairdryer, dorm style fridge and ironing board in the closet. The microwave is a community appliance located in the main hallway between rooms.Bed was firm, comfortable and extra linens and pillows in the closet.Pullout sofa in the living area but not used during our stay.Bathroom had extra towels right from the first day.We stayed off-season so help around the inn is limited, but the self check-in process was easy with all information required emailed to us before the stay.A very short walk from the Ferry so a car is not really required, depending how much you pack! The local market and other restaurants mere few minute walk from the Inn.Look forward to staying in the future!

We stayed here mid-week in February and had a great time! Huge room. Very comfy. Great water and city view. Located a few steps up the hill from the ferry. There is not a lot of dining options that time of year, but that didn't bother us. Wonderful stay, will be back!

We booked a room here last minute for an off-season weekend getaway. This was my first time going to Peaks Island and it was absolutely lovely. We had an excellent view of the city skyline at night and at sunset from the cliff island suite. The room was clean, and there was even a cozy fireplace in the suite's living room.Erin from the Peaks Island staff was very communicative about our stay, making both check-in and check-out a breeze despite minimal staffing during the off season.During these winter off-season months, there isn't much open on the island itself. I would recommend planning on getting food in Portland before catching the ferry and bringing something to much on. Also, if you can carry your own luggage onto the ferry, I would recommend parking your car at the ferry terminal and carrying luggage onto the island rather than loading it onto the car ferry. The inn is a couple hundred yards from the terminal.
