Are you looking to get great lobster rolls and sustainable seafood in Portland, Maine? Luke’s Lobster Portland Pier has got you covered!

Portland Pier is the flagship restaurant of Luke’s Lobsters’ 20+ lobster shacks around the country.

The restaurant sits on historic Portland Pier with 306- degree views of Portland’s working waterfront. It’s directly next to their lobster buying station where they land catch from their partner fishermen who dock on Portland Pier. You can often times catch them unloading crates at the dock or having a post-haul drink at the bar.

The restaurant boasts 110 seats with ample and beautiful outdoor seating for warmer weather. Menu features their classic Maine-style lobster, crab, and shrimp rolls, in addition to broiled and fried seafood specialties,  and of course steamed shore dinner. They also have a full beer, wine, and cocktail menu and two full bars.

They can accommodate private event rentals for weddings, corporate events, or meetings. Additionally, they offer take-out and delivery, walk-ins are welcome, and reservations accepted during the off season.

Oh, and they are dog friendly! So pack your pup and the whole family for a great day on waterfront.

When in Maine you have to try lobster. I mean we live in Massachusetts so we have good lobster there too, but anywhere in New England, that's sorry if the first thing to try and this place did not disappoint coming from someone who had quality lobster rolls where we live.

The honey spicy butter was amazing and my wife got the trio so we got to try all of the versions they offer, but I would definitely get the spicy honey butter again and every time.

We were here during a winter trip but it did feel like a place you have to visit again in the summer.

Definitely a place worth checking out.

We came here on a local recommendation and I am glad that we did. The food was very good and it was served in a relaxing dining room. There is a nice view of the waterway. The clam chowder was very tasty. The lobster roll was served to me warm and I really enjoyed it. My son had a Caesar salad and he said it was very good. He also enjoyed his chicken fingers. I recommend stopping by here for a good meal.

I had never been to Luke’s before and was excited to try it.
I want to say it exceeded expectations. Both the hostess and my waitress were amazing. I was treated VERY well, and both were friendly and attentive.
I had the lobster and clams, the food was delicious!
We sat upstairs and the view was gorgeous. Would definitely go again.

Really great food. I tried the Lobster roll flight and the mussels based on a recommendation from our waiter. Both were excellent and nice portions.

The restaurant has pretty simple decorations but the view is amazing.

I'll say this place is a bit pricy, but competitive with similar shops in the area so it isn't a negative just an observation as a tourist.

First time ever eating lobster!!! Had a delicious pair of lobsters with my best friend. We sat indoors and the views and vibes were immaculate ✨

Sometimes it can be hard to rationalize eating out lately, but this is truly worth the $$$. It is fresh, perfectly cooked and paired with wonderful service by a great waitstaff.

The side of potatoes it comes with I could have done without, but their fries are well worth ordering on the side. The fried pickles were good, but truly all we needed was a lobster each. We had driven about 3.5 hours to Portland and we were still full by the time we drove back.

Good lobster roll on the pier. I would thinkn for 50 bucks though you wouldn't get a bag of chips. Fresh though! Tasty food. Burger was excellent as well. Service was a little off, but she was friendly. Thank you.

Luke’s is a great spot to enjoy fresh seafood with a casual, coastal vibe. My husband and I visited recently and tried their traditional chilled lobster roll, served with chips, and an order of popcorn chicken with fries.

The lobster roll was everything you’d hope for—perfectly chilled, generously packed with sweet, extremely tender lobster meat, and lightly dressed to let the seafood shine.

The popcorn chicken was a surprising standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Paired with the golden, well-cooked fries, it made for a satisfying balance to the seafood option.

Luke’s has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and is located right on the pier with fantastic views of the harbor, making it an ideal spot for a casual meal with a bit of Maine charm. At the entrance, there are a couple tanks with live lobsters. Make sure you reach in the tank, and lift one up out of the water! They’re really neat to see up close. We left feeling happy and full, ready to visit again if we’re ever in the area.

We had a wonderful experience at Luke's. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The clam chowder was the best my aunt said she's had in a long time. We were told it would be 20 minutes for a table so they took my name/cell number and texted me when our table was ready (it was only a 10 minute wait). The wait staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
We had: Haddock, Lobster roll, clam chowder, Cole slaw, French fries, blueberry pie, summer cocktail.
