Come visit us at 15 Monument Square in downtown Portland, Maine! Browse our carefully curated selection of unique gifts, books, jewelry, perfume, candles, incense, tea, oddities, and more. We’re a woman-owned and operated business with a team of tarot readers who offer readings in the shop most days. Walk-in readings are welcome, though you can also book ahead on our website.

We also offer private events after-hours at our Monument Square location: private shopping and tarot readings for you and your guests. Our readers are also available for off-site events at the location of your choice. Tarot readings make a fun addition to: weddings, birthdays, bachelorette parties, bridal showers, girls’ night out, graduation parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, corporate events, retreats, and more!

Cool curio shop with an Occult-ish feel. Great selection of gifts, candles, curio's, art and some magical wares. Definitely worth check it out.

What a great witchy store! It was recommended to me by a local friend. I saw that they also offer readings inside. The selection of merch was definitely unique. My husband appreciated that there was educational material as well.

Such a cute collection of unique gifts and magical wares, I always enjoy coming in on my days off to browse! You feel a genuine presence as soon as you walk in, because Portland’s favorite shoppe keep Alexis, is always enchanting the masses with the latest arrivals or just the warmth of her charm! They always have a great depth of understanding and awareness when it comes to their offerings, so I am always excited every time I come and go with a little something to take home for myself!

Alexis and Kate from Lady in the Moon were an absolute delight and we’re so glad we made them a part of our day! We knew from the time we picked out our invitations that we wanted a tarot reader at our reception. We initially called another well-reviewed reader in the area and didn’t have the greatest experience in the first few discussions, so we took a chance at walking in to Lady in the Moon on a busy weekend to ask if they were available and we were greeted with the warmth and excitement we hoped to feel about something we really wanted at our special day. They were super flexible with scheduling and receiving payment etc., not to mention a very reasonable price for the services. Before the event, Alexis asked if she could stop by to check in on things and take photos- so considerate- and we said of course! Everyone loved having their readings at the reception- Kate was very busy at that table the whole time. The exact timelines elude me because we had an open bar but I’m pretty sure Kate took several people who begged to have a reading after the window we had paid for had ended. My purple lighter came in thank you ladies of the Moon. It's such a friendly store and so many shiny objects, novelty items and items of The Craft. You can enjoy this store whether or not you are familiar with their objective, mission or service to the craft. Found directly in monument square, grab a bite to eat at David's or Shea's and take a stroll to the Moon with the lady in the Moon.
