By November 1st the Old Port will have a new pie shop! Mount Desserts (IG, FB) is opening up a new temporary location in the former Holy Donut space on Exchange St. and plans on permanently moving into the rear half of the former Pearl Tap House space with an entrance on Wharf St. spring 2021.
Owners and sisters Brit and Hannah Babcock opened this summer on Mount Desert Island to rave reviews. Their family has been making amazing desserts, including homemade pies and many other baked goods for 7 generations here in Maine. After 7 generations of family history, making pies and other desserts, this is the first year they’ve made them available to the public.
