Come celebrate the 2024 Irish New Year! The Maine Irish Heritage Center is hosting a celebration from 5pm – 10pm with Maine’s premiere U2 tribute act, Slane! When Ireland hits midnight (7pm in Maine), it’s countdown and party! Doors open at 5:30pm, Troy Bennett and Travis Cote from Bailey’s Mistake from 6pm – 6:50pm, and then a 10-minute countdown to midnight in Ireland when Slane will kick off a 3-hour U2 Tribute show, which will impress with its light and video special effects. People can feel good about it because all proceeds go towards restoring the Portland landmark – old St. Dominic’s church on State and Gray.
