Somewhat under the radar, Sierra (formerly Sierra Trading Post) has opened their first-ever location in Maine at the Target Plaza in South Portland. Sierra joins Burlington as ‘new’ tenants to the plaza that already features Bed, Bath and Beyond as well Nordstrom Rack at 200 Running Hill Road.
Sierra is one of the many brands owned by the TJ Maxx company. If you enjoy shopping at places like Marshall’s and HomeGoods, Sierra falls into the same style of shopping experience. They feature men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, kids clothes, outdoor gear as well as items for your home and pets. They also offer a ‘ship to store’ option, meaning you can on their website and have your order ready to pick up in-store at your convenience. Like other stores in the TJ Maxx family, they also continuously have sales offering large discounts on name brands.
The Maine Crossing plaza had seen a handful of departures in recent years. AC Moore ceased operations and closed their store while Old Navy moved into a larger space in the Maine Mall.
