LIVE & LOCAL
Tricky Britches came together in 2009 when four friends from Portland, Maine, decided to take their fiddle tunes and country songs on a nationwide tour. STAFF PICK
Trampled by Turtles originated in Duluth, Minnesota, where frontman Dave Simonett started the band as a side project in 2003. At that time, Simonett had lost much of his music equipment when thieves broke into his vehicle during a performance with his prior band. With only an acoustic guitar remaining, he assembled a new group, drawing inspiration from bluegrass, folk, and other acoustic genres.
