MIDWEEK MUSIC

On a small corner lot in southeast Portland, Oregon, Jeffrey Martin recorded his heartfelt new album, Thank God We Left The Garden, in a tiny backyard shack he built himself. Originally meant to be just demos, the live, intimate recordings—made with only two microphones—became the final album, raw and honest. Martin’s deep, soulful voice and simple guitar playing create a warm, authentic sound, enhanced by subtle touches from Portland guitarist Jon Neufeld, who also mixed, mastered, and co-produced the record.
