Looking for a break from all of the holiday festivities? Check out the Film: Fantastic Fungi at the Portland Museum of Art any day this weekend. Learn about the amazing networks of fungus below our feet and how they relate to medicine and the environment!
Need a laugh? Head to the Holiday Comedy Brew Ha Ha at Rising Tide Brewing Company. This event is hosted by the Portland Comedy Co-op. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door and include your first pour! Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. This is a 21+ event.
Check out 80’s DJ Night at the Whiskey Barrel from 8:30pm-1am. Listen to all the best throwbacks and get your groove on!
Saturday
Dance over to the Portland Nutcracker Experience at Brick South! There are two time slots 10am-12pm and 2-4pm. This event includes a Nutcracker dance-along with an orchestra and ballerinas, cookies, ice skating discounts, Breakfast cocktails, and a full bar! You can also get all inclusive tickets which include all of the above, as well as a Maine-made handcrafted children’s mask, two hours of free parking, holiday cheer crafting stations, and hot chocolate. General admission tickets are $25 and all inclusive tickets are $50.
Test your knowledge at Danielle Dior Trivia Galore at Blackstones! Trivia runs from 2:30-4pm and is free. This is a 21+ event so don’t forget your ID!
Party at YEPP 2: Year End Pig Party at Thirsty Pig! This event runs from 7-10pm and will feature a surprise headliner that will be announced on Christmas Day! This will be the last musical event at the Thirsty Pig this year so keep an eye on their page for more info!

Whip up a dish and head to Blackstones’ Potluck Brunch from 12-2pm! Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s are only $5!
Groove to vinyl DJs spinning at Flannel at FLASK LOUNGE from 5-8:30pm. This is their monthly tea dance that welcomes diversity and features reasonably priced drinks and specials!
Listen to the tunes of GoldenOak at OLS w/ Ben Cosgrove from 7-10pm! Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 day of. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm! This is an all ages event.
