Friday
Don’t miss the amazing art shows and programming at the First Friday Art Walk for September. From 5-8pm view fantastic art all over Portland!
Snag a ticket to Rustic Overtones at the Port City Music Hall. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. You won’t want to miss this awesome seven piece rock band that’s local to Portland. This is an 18+ event and tickets are $25! Grab them quick!
Get ready for some laughs because the First Friday Comedy Showcase at Empire will be from 7:30-9:30! Tickets are only $5 and the show features five comedians performing 15 minute sets.
Saturday
Join the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for the Greater Portland Out of the Dark Walk at Fort Allen Park from 9am-2pm. Support families that have lost loved ones and those that are struggling with suicidal thoughts.
Portland Greenfest 2019 will be in Monument Square from 10am-4pm so grab a friend and head on over! There will be live music, kids activities, and 40 exhibitors showcasing green products and more!
From 3:30-7:30pm, Oktoberfest Portland Maine will be in full swing! Snag some tickets and visit this amazing Bavarian Beer Carnival on Thompson’s Point! There will be over 40 brewers, live music, food, a costume competition, keg tossing, an escape room, and much much more!
Sunday
If you like the Beatles you’ll love Deconstructing The Beatles: Abbey Road – Side 2, a track by track deconstruction of the songs and their evolution in the studio. This runs from 11am-12:30pm at the Portland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9 general admission and $7 for members and students.
Mosey over to Print: A Bookstore from 11am-12pm for a reading of Lawrence in the Fall by the illustrator Doug Salati! This amazing story of Lawrence Fox learning about the magic of nature!
The Holy Boys Danger Club, SeepeopleS, and Ultra Major will be at the Portland House of Music and Events this Sunday from 8pm-1am. These bands mix Rock and Roll, indie, and a little bit of punk to bring some awesome tunes your way! Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 the day of the show. This is a 21+ event so bring your ID!
