- Sissle & Daughters, an all day cafe, wine bar and grocery/market brought to Portland from the team behind The Cheese Shop of Portland (now Sissle & Daughters Cheese), has officially opened at 634 Forest Avenue. Announced back in May as coming soon, Sissle & Daughters offers coffee and baked goods 8am – 2:30pm; wine bar service from 3pm – 8pm every day.
- Two Fat Cats Bakery will host a Grand Opening for their new space in the West End Saturday, November 9th from 7:30am – 4pm. Located at 144 State Street inside the old Mercy Hospital building, Two Fat Cats West End will be a cafe and market that will include all their pastries in addition to sandwiches and soups and a small market of staples and sundries.
- Elsmere BBQ & Wood Grill has announced that it will close its doors at 448 Cottage Road in South Portland on Saturday, November 9th after 11 years. Learn more.
Cargo Pizza Company, known already around town for their mobile pizza truck, has announced that they will be expanding into a brick-and-mortar location at 1053 Forest Ave, previously home to Falafel Time. Learn more.
- Fat Kid Culinary Productions and Definitive Brewing Co. have partnered for the season. The food truck will be parked at Definitive’s Portland tasting room full-time Thursday through Sunday.
Ocotillo has announced that they will be adding dinner service starting Thursday November 21st. Learn more.
- It’s a wrap on Portland Lobster Co.’s 2024 season! Following a tradition of over 20 years, the team celebrated another amazing season by releasing the last lobster of the season back into the wild. PLC will reopen in the spring.
- Igloos are making their return! Alto Terrace Bar + Kitchen has announced the return of igloo dining coming soon. Thames Landing has also announced that igloo dining is on its way.

New Additions
- The annual 207 Beer Week is happening now through Sunday, November 10th, 2024. Presented by Maine Brewers’ Guild, 207 Beer Week includes events and happenings all across Maine. For a full rundown of events, check out our rundown: Hop on Over: What’s Brewing in Portland for 207 Beer Week.
- The Portland, Maine Thanksgiving Guide: Dine-In & Preorder Options is live! Will continue to add as more is announced!
- Happy hour is back at Highroller Lobster Co. Monday – Friday from 3pm – 6pm enjoy deals on food and drink. View menu.

- Enjoy Fall Birdie Specials at Ocotillo. Monday: kick off the week with 2 for 1 breakfast tacos 8am – 9am; Wednesday: 1/2 price sweet treat with a cup of coffee; Monday, Thursday, Friday: $14 BBQ Sando of the Week with a 160z Modelo or house-made soda.
- Steak, Frites, and Martini Mondays $for 25 runs every week at Henry’s Public House. In addition, enjoy a Ceaser salad, frites and martini for $20.
- Now until Thanksgiving all drip coffee and cold brew is half off until 10am on weekdays at Another Round Maine.
- Prime Rib Dinners are back at Wayside Tavern. The first one takes places Thursday, November 7th. All your favorite old school steakhouse staples.
- Coals Bayside – which recently closed its West Bayside location in September – is popping up at Leisure Time Cocktail Co. on Sunday, November 10th. They’ll have their famous wings and other delicious creations to enjoy.
- Pulutan, a Filipino and Filipino-influenced food
pop-up series by Chef Amadeus Florendo, will be at Portland Hunt & Alpine on Monday, November 11th.
Ongoing Events
- For one night only, James Beard Award-winning chef, David Standridge of The Shipwright’s Daughter will be teaming up with Chef Neil Zabriskie, of REGARDS for a pop-up happening Tuesday, November 19th. Reservations can be made online via OpenTable.
- The Thirsty Pig will be partaking in 207 Beer Week. Hosting events each day of the celebration including the following: Spears and Beers, Red, White, and Blue Ball Cowboys & Aliens, Git to the Point, Tek Dek Finger Off, Flannels and Flagships, Glizzies and Fizzies
- Rising Tide Brewing will be hosting an Election Day Pig Roast on Tuesday, November 5th. A traditional pig roast with all the fixings.
- Angoor Wine Bar will be hosting an Oyster Tasting Event with Lady Oyster on Sunday, November 10th. 9 different oysters paired with 3 wine tastings.
