FRIDAY
The Life Happens Outside Festival kicks off at 6 pm on Thompson’s Point! This two-day event is hosted by Teens To Trails and is a celebration of outdoor, active lifestyles. Friday’s Kick-Off will include live music by the Woodshed Mystics & Dark Hollow Bottling Company, food trucks, beer, and a special showing of the Maine Outdoor Film Festival.
Grammy-nominated Extreme, one of the most successful rock acts of the late 80s and 90s is performing at our very own Aura. Tickets are $25 and the doors open at 9! Kick off your weekend in a big way with this rockin’ throwback!
One of the world’s biggest electronic acts, Bonobo, will be at the State Theatre at 8 pm spinning new songs from his latest album Migration.
The Slab Summer Music Series continues with Zeme Libre on the patio stage at 8 pm! If you’re less into music and more into pizza, check out their happy hour from 3-5 pm when hand slabs are $3 and you can enjoy $1 off drafts, wines, and select cocktails.
It’s the fourth Friday of the month which means the Dapper Gents, a Portland favorite in the music scene will be performing at Rhum at 8:30! Enjoy good music, great drinks, and no cover.
SATURDAY
The Life Happens Outside Festival continues from 9a-5p with outdoor activities including yoga, rock climbing, and a kids village for the little ones, vendors, workshops, and live music and entertainment! You can buy tickets for Friday night and Saturday here.
Maine Crafts Association will present the third annual Portland Fine Craft Show, which is free & open to the public from 9a-4p on Congress Street between High and State Streets. Browse through over 100 exhibitors crafts from baskets, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, leather, metal, stone, wood, and more.
Bruins fans rejoice at the Boston Bruins Summer Fan Fest Tour stop in Monument Square from 12-6. Bruins players, coaches, executives, and NESN personalities Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley are touring to play games and mingle with fans, sign autographs, take photos, and more! This event is FREE and fans are welcome and encouraged to participate in all of the event’s activities!
Another Slab music event happens at 8 pm! What better way to celebrate this killer weather we’ve been having than with live music from The Band Apollo and pizza under the stars.
SUNDAY
FREE family fun for everyone, including the dog! The 7th Annual Pet Rock in the Park is happening from 11a-4p in Deering Oaks Park and will feature live music, food, crafts, demos, adoptions and everything DOG!
Enjoy frozen cocktail specials, Portland’s favorite food trucks, music, DJs, games, snacks, and MORE from 12-5 at Stroudwater Distillery for this week’s installment of Sunday’s at the Distillery!
Head over to Rhum for 30% tiki bowls and $1 oysters all day long. It’s going to be a beautiful day to drink on the patio and they open at noon on Sundays only!
