Has a certain bomb cyclone been keeping you cooped up in the house? There’s no case of cabin fever too serious that a weekend in the Old Port can’t fix!
Friday
It’s the first Friday of the year! That means, despite extra snowy and frozen conditions, the First Friday Art Walk will commence! From 5-8 at varying locations, don’t let the cold keep you from getting your monthly art fix!
It’s all about art this Friday with a stop at Rising Tide Brewing Co. for the grand opening of an art exhibit titled Reclaimed Life by artist Steven Brooks, all created by recycled and found materials. See the artwork firsthand and meet the artist from 5-7!
While you’re out in the cold, you might as well stop by The Thirsty Pig from 7-10 for a beer, a poutine dog, and live music by 32French and special guest Jay Caron.
End the night upstairs at Bull Feeney’s with The O’Harrows as they play their unique blend of rock and reggae from 10pm-1 am!
Saturday
Get an early start at 9 am for Yoga, Bootcamp, & Kombucha at Urban Farm Fermentory, hosted by Fit Justice! Bootcamp from 9-9:30 and yoga from 9:30-10, followed by a flight of kombucha and socializing until 11!
If you’re into yoga, but more of a beer person, join Be Well at Oxbow Blending & Bottling at 10:30 am for a 1-hour vinyasa flow class with Kat Cynewski, followed by a post-flow Oxbow brew.
Join Cellardoor Winery at Thompson’s Point for FREE wine tastings from 12-2 pm, and your photo could pop up in the New York Times Travel Section! 👀
If you’re throwing a wedding in the near future (or you just like free samples) head to the Holiday Inn by the Bay for the Portland Wedding Show, hosted by the Maine Wedding Association!
Sunday
Brave the cold for Sunday Runday with the Thick Quad Squad at CBD in East Bayside. Run as much as you’d like before the cold chases you away, and follow it up with some coffee & food to warm up.
Join the Little Tap House for a New Year’s celebration with your little babies! BYOB(aby) for Lil’ Manuary 2018, a social event for families with little ones, who also love beer, mini mustaches, and tiny top hats.
Class up your Sunday with MJ’s Wine Bar and some jazz music with Bess Jacques & The Strays at 7 pm! Enjoying good music and good wine on Sundays is the cure for a case of the Mondays.
